Meet the Gardner's

Meet the Heart Behind Good News Gardening - The Gardners!

Pictured above are the owners and passionate green thumbs behind Good News Gardening—Jon and Hollie Gardner.

For years, Jon and Hollie have been dedicated to bringing the Hood River community the best in plants, gardening supplies, and locally made gifts. Their love for nature and their community shines through in everything they do—from helping customers select the perfect plants to creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere at the nursery and expertly designed Gardener’s Boutique.

Good News Gardening is truly a family affair! On any given day, you’ll find Jon and Hollie working alongside their team, ensuring every plant is perfectly pruned, watered, and thriving. Their children—Cameron, Katie, and Evan—are often part of the action too!

Cameron helps out in the Gardener’s Boutique on weekends, assisting customers in finding the perfect gift or homeware, while Katie and Evan love to ride their bikes around the grounds and hang out with grandma, Diane (Jon’s mother). And of course, their beloved dog Coco is always nearby, lounging in the sun on the nursery porch. Coco has even earned the title of Good News Gardening’s official mascot!

The Gardners want to thank you for being such an amazing community and invite you to follow along the Good News Gardening journey.

Happy Gardening! From the Gardners
